Lusting

Betsey Johnson Teen Vogue skirt $215

A labor day miracle.

So i was snooping around the web looking for some cheap black pumps and maybe another pair of heels and my eyes are always peeled for skinny jeans that aren't made for models with legs as long as my entire body. My 5'1'' frame isnt quite that freakishly imbalanced and so skinnies tend to get scrunched up around my entire calf. i FINALLY found a pair that hit at my ankes (the proper length). Im estatic. And best part is, they are GREY! and the pumps I found are great, inexpenseive, and I found a cute pair of suede lace ups! What do you think? Oui? ou Non? All are from forever 21. I found this little bugger at kids gap and simply couldn't walk away. i had been ogling this beauty at J.Crew and while the cashmere was tempting, the $250 price tag was not. The gap coat was $29.50. As a plus, the hood buttons off.

Jokes

"Sort of is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. Its just a filler- its doesn't really mean anything. but after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after "I love you" or "You're going to live" or "Its a boy."

Demetri Martin is a genius. I listened to him on the way to Florida with my boyfriend, on his ipod, and I swear I've never laughed so hard in my life. Tears were streaming down my face and my gut hurt by the end of the drive. So check him out, if you already havent.

Amish food!

Ok so new obsession= Amish food!

Corn fritter recipe
4 large ears corn
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 eggs, separated
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Salt and pepper to taste

Cut the kernels from 4 ears of corn and place them in a medium bowl. Using the back of a knife, scrape the cobs over the bowl to extract the juices and pulp. The mixture will resemble scrambled eggs. Beat the egg yolks in a large bowl until light. Beat in the the flour, sugar and salt and pepper. Stir in the corn.

Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold them into corn mixture. Heat a heavy skillet over medium heat and grease lightly. Drop the batter by small spoonsful onto hot skillet and cook until golden brown.

I made these puppies at rural life camp many years back. They are TASTYCAKES!
