So in honor of my Armenian friend, Aleen, I'm raising awarenesses of the Armenian Genocide. So right after the end of WWI, there was a systematic destruction of the Armenian population of the ottoman empire(now known as the republic of Turkey) by the Ottoman officials. It led to the death of over one and a half million Armenians and it the second most studied case of genocide. The republic of Turkey refuses to recognize this tragic attempt at exterminating a people as a genocide even though over 22 countries and 42 American states have recognized it.
