For Aimee(to appease Kara and Olivia)

Normally I am in stauch opposition to legwarmers worn anytime outside of ballet rehersal, but these legwarmers from FreePeople are cleverly styled.  Every time I want to attempt this look, I'm hindered by images of Jane Fonda and I can't bring myself to walk out of the house with the legwarmers. I think the biggest factor in deciding the appropriateness of a legwarmer has to do with two factors: the scrunch and the knit. Scrunch will be your worst enemy. If you want to go legwarmer this year, avoid the whole slouchy effect. It *will* give you cankles, so who are you kidding. Just say no. The second factor has to do with the quality and thickness of the knit. Stay away from stiff acrylics or thick knits because not only will they add serious bulkiness but acrylic legwarmers make you look like you've just walked out of your tuesday Tae Bo class. These FreePeople legwarmers are probably too thick...but I guess it depends on your legs. Look for a nice pair of delicate wool, alpaca, or cashmere legwarmers.  That's all I have to say about that...Good luck!

you read my blog!!! Anddd I would only wear them over tights...in situations where my ankles would be significantly colder than my thighs. Don't hate millybugg.

in what situation would that happen? they're okay under boots but not boots w/ a peeptoe b/c those aren't okay

That was said partly in jest, but in snowy situations my feet and ankles would be colder than my thighs..and I like how FreePeople styled the legwarmers over the shoe. I thought it had a chic effect.
Peeptoe boots- wholeee other issue.
