Tattoo

True to my word I put on that fake tattoo. It was weirdly empowering...I think I liked it too much. The reactions: My friend gab said it looked very real, my friend Chad just said I was really weird sometimes, Ben just laughed, and my mom thought it was real and almost killed me in the imported cheese section of whole foods before I could explain. I like it....I think i might keep it.

Ive just subscribed to my very first issue of Interview magazine! I'm pretty excited! I bought 18 issues for roughly 10 dollars, which is awesome. Curls Curls Curls

Everyone always asks me how I get my curls looking like they do. Wavy, beachy, pretty natural looking after they fall a little. So here it is. I start with slightly dirty hair. I wash it before i go to sleep and let it air dry over night. I rub in some Kiehls Silk Groom, and I whip out my trusty conair 1" ionic curling iron. On medium heat I corkscrew each thick chunk of hair away from my face around the outside of the barrel. I never open the clamp thing, I work over it. I usually have all my curls turning away from my face on either side. After that's finished I spray on some Spray de Mode by Bumble and Bumble for hold. I run my fingers through it, sweep it upside down and rub in a touch of Brilliantine by Bumble and Bumble for some shine and a piecy, less perfect looking texture. There you have it!

I got a webcam..so im thinking im actually going to try and take pictures of my outfits now and then. What do you think? Ill be sure to take a picture of myself in my work get-up. I pretty much look like a 12 yr old girl going to her first dance party. You'll see what i mean. So...here's a tester-pic. Just to see if im not totally freaked out with putting my own picture up. So far, ive only got the mild heebies.

Oh the unholy craving I have for shoes. Watching "Confessions of a Shopaholic" last night with my mom certainly didn't help. These babies would be killer. Only Christian Louboutian can make me this weak in the knees. I'm pretty sure Taylor Momsen wore the Alexander McQueen look-alikes in the Gossip Girl episode titled "Remains of the J". McQ's just look like shiny-barbie shoes..he cant pull off the hot pink as well as Mr. Louboutin. This photo was borrowed from Jak& Jil Blog. You guys gotta check out this site!! It has a few great close ups of those to die for Balmain military jackets and not to mention tons of beautiful shots of fashion week commuters.

the prodigal blogger..

I havent blogged all summer. There. I said it.
BUT my good friend morgan sent me an e-mail with a link to a site with a bunch of pictures of modern actresses in pin-up attire and as we all know I cant resist a girl with a victory curl. Somehow this led me to start researching pin-up tattoos which led me to this site...http://www.inkedblog.com/. This site reminded me of how a while back i had decided that if i ever get a tattoo, i want it to be of a swallow! Or a nice pin-up girl. I dont openly support tattoos because normally they just look..lame. But there is something about a swallow that i wouldn't mind having on my body forever. Only problem is that im deathly afraid of needles so this sweet temp-tat from tinsleytransfers.com will have to do. I think i'll put it on tonight and see how i like living the tatted life! I think im going to consider begging morgan to take some vargas-esque pictures of me in her brand spanking new studio. Fingers crossed!

but really, I was at urban yesterday doing a little retail thereapy..which often leads to bad things. This one time when my big brother went away to camp for a summer i bought a 200$ ugly native american wanna be tribal dress. Its never seen the light of day. Stress and shopping don't mix well for me. SO I'm doing some major damage at Urban. I literally tried on close to 20 items and I walked away with some real treasures (weirdly enough) and one impulse buy...im hoping this isnt native american dress pt II. Its a faux python figure skater style tunic/dress thing? Im brave enough to wear it but i have a feeling my town isnt quite ready for it. Maybe when i vacation somewhere with actual clubs I can whip this baby out. What do you think?

Sorry for sucking!

I'm sorry for being a horrible blogger..but i have an excuse! I've been creepin on other blogs and learning from the pros! I think Im going to start taking pictures of my outfits like many of the other fashion bloggers out there. I've also been working hard at work, making that moneyz abercrombie style. Work has been interesting to say the least..my co-workers are great, i love my managers, but I swear to god if i get one more stink-eye from a12 year old customer or another beer belly frat boy over 20 hits on me..i will freak. Other than that, it's been smooth sailing on the retail seas. I've made a couple of purchases since the last time...a skirt from FCUK that hasn't come in yet, a dress from urban, a peasant top from abercrombie, some sweet cut-offs (pictures will come along later). I caved and got a twitter, so i tweet all the time now and follow miley cyrus like some dorky pre-teen. So, as a big apology and suck-up gesture, I'm going to attach the links of all the other blogs ya'll should keep up with! I promise they are eons better than this little one <3
