Soooo i made yummies for my French class today using a recipie i got off the back of the eagle brand condensed milk can. Use it, love it. OK so you need this shiz
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 can of condensed milk
1 1/4 stick of butter (one stick will work just fine though) and leave it out of the fridge for a bit to soften it up. It shouldnt be melted down though
6 heath bars all chopped up
1 cup sliced almonds
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 egg beaten
13X9 inch pan (well covered with a layer of pam or i guess butter would do too, anything to keep the melted toffee from sticking)
- hokay, so combine the butter, flour, and sugar and mush it up with the butter to make a crumbly texture. Pack it down in the bottom of the pammed up pan and cook it for 15 minutes on 350.
-while that cooks, combine the beaten egg, condesed milk, almond extract, almond slivers, and the chopped up heath bars. Mix this up well and once the cookie bottom is finished, take it out and spread the almond paste mixture thing on top.
-Pop is back into the oven and let it cook for 20 minutes or so until its lightly browned. WOOT!

Armenians...yeasshhh

So in honor of my Armenian friend, Aleen, I'm raising awarenesses of the Armenian Genocide. So right after the end of WWI, there was a systematic destruction of the Armenian population of the ottoman empire(now known as the republic of Turkey) by the Ottoman officials. It led to the death of over one and a half million Armenians and it the second most studied case of genocide. The republic of Turkey refuses to recognize this tragic attempt at exterminating a people as a genocide even though over 22 countries and 42 American states have recognized it. For more info , check this out! http://www.anca.org/ and stay updated on the fight to get the genocide recognized!

Future apartment
For my future apartment/home Im thinking a close replica of the stairwell of the Tenenbaum house, as well as clean, bright colors(think nik-l-nip green) in the bedrooms. A collection of quirky trinkets and prints. It will a paradise. Actually, any house with a room for a library, or better yet, a sun room, would be my paradise. And of course my husband's old surfboard will be transformed into a coffee table.

Fun in the SUN!!

1.Take underwater pictures! I've done this on two occasions, once with my bestie girlfriend Weens, and we pretended to be mermaids. I did it just yesterday with the BF and we just goofed around. The results are always really tight, and if you take some pictures above the water, they turn out really bright and saturated with color. Its great!
2. Kool-aid Popsicles
3. Picnic!
4. Fly kites
5. Throw a summer cocktail party, or a pool party if you have one (a pool that is). Just throw together a play-list, make some finger sandwiches, smoothies, and some potato wedges and you're in business. Try some non-alcoholic cocktails to spruce things up.
6. Re-create top chef with your fellow cook-savy friends
7. Plant a herb garden- so when you make your top-chef dishes, you'll have some fresh rosemary, mint, or oregano to use.
8. Watch season 1 of gossip girls! Thats what I'll be doing, i can assure you.
9. Go get a snowball and chill out on the hood of a friends car enjoying then summer sun
10. Swim! If you don't have a pool, then pool-hop at nearby apartment complexes. Just make sure you can peace-out of there really quick if a tenant gets pissed.
